# The Bee Conservatory > The Bee Conservatory is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Sacramento, CA dedicated to bee conservation through free bee removal, habitat restoration, and pollinator education. We protect pollinators and the ecosystems they support across the Greater Sacramento region. ## About The Bee Conservatory was founded to address the pollinator crisis through direct action. We provide free, humane bee removal services across 31 cities in the Sacramento region, relocating colonies to safe habitats instead of exterminating them. Our programs also include habitat restoration, hive sponsorship, and STEM-aligned education for students. We partner with organizations including the USDA, UC Davis, Pollinator Partnership, Sierra Club, National Wildlife Federation, Xerces Society, and Sacramento County. Key impact: 50,000+ bees protected, 200+ hives placed, 15+ acres of habitat restored, 5,000+ students educated.
