About The Bee Conservatory

The Bee Conservatory is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Sacramento, California. Our mission is bee conservation through community education, habitat restoration, and humane bee rescue. All programs and services are provided in furtherance of that mission and not for commercial profit.

Use of Website

This Site is provided for lawful, personal, and non-commercial use. Permitted uses include:

• Learning about bee conservation and our programs
• Submitting bee sighting and rescue reports
• Making charitable donations
• Signing up for newsletters, volunteer programs, or events

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by submitting false information, attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems, scraping content without permission, or using the Site in any way that could harm The Bee Conservatory or other users.

Bee Rescue Services

Our bee rescue service is provided free of charge as a community resource. Rescues are carried out by trained volunteers and are subject to availability. While we make reasonable efforts to respond to all requests promptly, we cannot guarantee specific response times or outcomes.

Bee rescue is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger — including a severe allergic reaction or aggressive swarm situation — call 911 immediately. Do not rely on our rescue request form for emergencies.

Donations

Donations are processed through Zeffy, a third-party platform. By completing a donation, you agree to Zeffy's terms of service in addition to these Terms of Use.

Donations to The Bee Conservatory are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law under our 501(c)(3) status. A receipt will be provided for each donation. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at info@thebeeconservatory.com within 30 days of your donation.

Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and educational materials — is the property of The Bee Conservatory or is used with permission from the respective rights holders. All rights are reserved.

You may share links to our content and use brief excerpts for non-commercial, educational purposes with proper attribution. Reproduction of substantial portions of our content for commercial use, or use of our logos without written permission, is prohibited.

User Content

When you submit content to us — including bee sighting reports, photos, testimonials, or other materials — you grant The Bee Conservatory a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content for educational, conservation, and promotional purposes. You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide and that doing so does not infringe on any third party's rights.

The content on this Site is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional pest control, veterinary, or emergency services advice.

The Bee Conservatory specializes in bees. We are not a pest control service and do not handle wasps, hornets, or other insects. Our bee rescue services are performed by trained volunteers, not licensed pest control professionals. For pest control needs beyond bees, please contact a licensed pest management company.

This Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Bee Conservatory, its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this Site or our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you donated to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.
